Demo and Session Mode in Vū Studio
Overview
Vū Studio includes two operational modes that support demonstrations and shared environments:
-
Demo Mode: allows easy access to a system using its system ID.
-
Session Mode: gives administrators control over who is allowed to access and control the system.
Demo Mode
Demo Mode is designed to make demonstrations quick and frictionless.
When Demo Mode is enabled, anyone who knows the system ID can attempt to connect to the system. Demo Mode does not restrict access and does not require approval by an administrator.
Demo Mode is intentionally permissive and is best used in guided demo or sales scenarios.
When to Use Demo Mode
Use Demo Mode when:
-
you want fast, low-friction access for demos
-
a guest or prospect needs temporary control
-
you are showcasing the platform in a controlled setting
Enable Demo Mode
-
Open Vū Studio
-
Navigate to Settings
-
Toggle Demo Mode on
Session Mode
Session Mode is used to control and approve access to a Vū Studio system.
How Session Mode Works
When Session Mode is enabled:
-
A new Sessions option appears in the left-hand toolbar
-
Users who attempt to connect to the system appear in the Sessions panel
-
An administrator can:
-
Allow or deny a user’s access
-
Disable a connected user’s control at any time
-
Kick a user, force disconnects them if they are already connected
-
This gives administrators real-time visibility and control over who can access the system, even if the user knows the system ID.
When to Use Session Mode
Use Session Mode when:
-
the system is in a shared or public-facing environment
-
you want staff-only control
-
you need approval-based access during live events or demos
Enable Session Mode
-
Open Vū Studio
-
Go to Settings
-
Toggle Session Mode on
-
Confirm that Sessions appears in the left-hand toolbar
-
Use the Sessions panel to manage user access in real time
