System Requirements for the Vū Media Server

If you choose to run our Vū Media Server software on your own computer, the following are the recommended absolute minimum system requirements for reasonable performance. If you have any questions, please contact Vū 

IMPORTANT:

• These requirements are for running a single 4k display without lighting automation or other available add ons.
• Additional screens, higher resolutions or additional add on packages like Cinema or Lighting may require a system with higher resources.

Minimum System Requirements

• CPU - Ryzen 9 or Intel Core i7 or higher
• RAM - 16GB or greater
• Disk - 1TB disk space 
• GPU - Radeon 780M or NVidia GTX 1050 or higher
• Internet speed/connection
  • A hard wired connection is recommended whenever possible.
  • 100 mb/sec upload/download minimum for system functionality.
  • 500 mb/sec or higher upload/download recommended for optimal performance.
  • Note - The speed required for the media server and any devices interacting with the system to perform adequately is also dependent on the size/length of the media being used. If all media are still plates of average size, a very slow connection may still be workable. If media includes 4k or higher videos of longer lengths, a much faster connection would be needed for the best experience.
